Another popular stallion to emerge from Toyota’s expansive stable is their flagship sedan, the Avalon. First produced in 1994, like many other cars in its class the Avalon came with a front wheel drive. More than a million have been sold since. Because Toyota offers such a wide range of cars, the Avalon shares its platform with a few other robust Toyota vehicles.

The 2016 Avalaon, sold in the 2017 model year, received extensive restyling on the outside, notably its front grille. Four models are currently being offered in the US market, the standard, plus, premium and touring, with the base model starting at $33,300. All have the same 3.5 litre V6 engine coupled with a 6 speed automatic gearbox.

The car’s fully independent suspension and 8-way power adjustable driver’s s seat improves comfort. Paddle shifters have been provided on the wheel. Despite a 7 inch touch-screen display the Avalon’s infotainment system is a bit dated in some respects.
