7) Buick LaCrosse
Buick is GM’s upmarket passenger car division. LaCrosse is their large-midsize luxury car, as well as the flagship vehicle. Produced since 2005, the car is now in its third generation.
Thanks to a completely new platform which the car shares with the Chevy Impala, LaCrosse is 300 pounds lighter than its previous model year. The car’s US version retails at $32,065, for the basic model.
The power pack is a 3.6 iltre V6 direct injection engine with variable valve timing. It couples with an 8 speed automatic transmission to send 310 hp to the front wheels. All wheel drive is one of the many optional extras that Buick is offering with LaCrosse.
The car has all the updated electronic and infotainment features including a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. It has as many as ten airbags to maximize safety. LaCrosse also comes with power programmable door locks with lockout protection, all fitted as standard in the base model.
