8) Cadillac CTS
Cadillac’s third generation executive car was first launched in 2013 and is currently available in sedan and coupe variants.
There are two engine options. A 2.0 litre turbo 4 cylinder engine with auto start/stop technology develops 268 max hp and would interest those who consider fuel economy important. For Cadillac’s more power-hungry patrons there is the 3.6 litre V6 that can pump out 335 hp.
Both engines are coupled with an 8 speed automatic transmission. Magnesium paddle shifters on the wheel come with driver selectable modes including ‘Tour’, ‘Sport’, ‘Snow/Ice’ and ‘Track’.
The car has an almost even 50/50 weight distribution on both axles, which enhances handling. Cadillac’s Magnetic Ride Control automatically senses road quality and weather conditions to adjust the suspension and ride height. AWD is also available.
Cadillac offers a highly customizable cabin in the CTS, with a choice of materials, colors and styles. The car’s 12.3 inch lcd display can also be personalized. Remote start feature allows the engine to be started from 100 yards away. The car senses outside temperatures and activates the climate control automatically.
