7) Ford Mustang
The Mustang has been around for 45 years and is one of America’s best selling sports cars ever produced. It also remains one of the most affordable.
In 2017 Ford offers the Mustang with four engine variants. The smallest of these is a 3.7 litre V6 that kicks out 300 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. The largest one is a 5.2 litre V8 with flat-plane crank that can produce 526 hp and 429 lb.-ft of torque. The latter happens to be the standard version on Ford’s Shelby GT350.
Ford has dramatically changed the 2017 Mustang’s handling with improved suspension and arms. The car is now much more resistant to pitching and rolling, which makes for a very responsive ride. Traction control and ABS are included.
The Mustang also comes with unmatched visual customizability on the inside and out. Ford now offers a range of hoods, vents, trims and as many as 12 wheel designs to choose from. There is also a choice between manual or automatic 6 speed transmission.
