Designed in response to the soaring fuel prices post-World War II, the Mini was meant to be a smart change from the gas guzzlers of the time. The Morris Company engineers took-up the task of building a small, fuel-efficient and cost-effective car that anyone could afford.

Incidentally the car’s layout innovations also made it a great performance car. Over its 50 years of history the Mini has been constantly improved and innovated. The Mini Clubman is the largest Mini ever built.
