6) Suzuki Celerio
The Celerio was first unveiled in 2014 as Suzuki’s affordable compact city car. The 2017 Celerio is being offered in as many as 12 versions in some markets, with a view to compete with a range of other cars in this lucrative segment.
The car is designed to maximize leg space and interior comfort. Under the hood is a 1.0 litre, three-cylinder, VVT, MPI petrol engine producing 67 hp. The Celerio is now being offered with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. Either gearbox makes the car a fuel-efficient option with a long range for city driving. The Celerio features a transmission control unit (TCU), which uses the car’s hydraulics to shift gears.
In some markets Suzuki also offers the car with diesel engines and other fuel options. An improved suspension has enhanced the car’s ride comfort and handling. A multitude of active and passive safety features include the car’s electronic stability program and six airbags.
