The RX started life as a compact SUV in 1997 and evolved to a midsize crossover through four generations. The 2017 RX 350 FWD is powered by a 3.5 litre V6 engine producing 295 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. Despite these figures, it achieves a fuel efficiency of 20 mpg in city conditions. Transmission is electronically controlled 8-speed automatic. Top track speed is 124 mph. The driver is assisted by an optional color heads-up display and a 12.3-inch widescreen multimedia display.
