5) Dodge Charger SRT / SRT Hellcat
The Charger SRT has been equipped with a fuel hungry 6.4 litre Hemi V-8 engine which produces 485 hp. The SRT Hellcat has the same engine which has been supercharged to produce 707 hp. This beast of an engine makes the Hellcat the world’s most powerful production sedan. The catch is that it can burn as much as 1.5 gallons of fuel every minute. At full throttle the engine roar carries for miles, although during street driving the car’s computer controlled valves make sure that it makes hardly any sound.
Since 2015 all SRT models come with an 8 speed automatic transmission. Dodge claims the car’s top speed to be 204 mph. Thanks to an adaptive suspension with multiple modes and the car’s very low profile, the Hellcat can pull 0.94 g with relative ease. In 2015 Dodge made notable changes to the car’s front end to improve aerodynamics and to incorporate LED lights. The 2017 models have enhanced interiors and more creature comforts.
