The second generation Titan V8 seeks to compete with the Ford 150 and retails in the US at a starting price of $29,580.

The Titan’s 5.6 litre DOHC 32-valve V8 engine features variable valve event and lift (VVEL). Designed for hitching up and towing solo, this engine produces 390 hp of max power and 394 lb-ft of max torque for hauling payloads up to 1,610 lbs. To get the best results from this output Nissan have equipped the Titan with a 7-speed automatic transmission, which improves fuel efficiency among other things.

The truck’s PRO-4X variant comes with Bilstein shocks for off-road performance. An electronic locking rear differential activates with the flip of a switch. This off-road feature powers both rear wheels equally to maximize grip and traction.

Another mechanical must-have is the shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive. The driver can select between 2WD and 4WD instantaneously while driving at up to 60 mph. 4WD also includes a low-range 4-LO for severe conditions.
