The standard engine on the 2017 Chevy Camaro is a 2.0 litre turbo i4 with variable valve timing, producing 275 hp. However, when this is not enough, Chevy can fit the Camaro with a 6.2 litre V8 with a max output of 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. Similarly, when it comes to transmission, a six-speed manual is standard, while Chevy offers an optional 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
On top of all this, the Camaro is available with a ‘track package’, which offers stiffer suspension, more aggressive tires, enhanced braking and cooling, and improved sports car performance all round. The car’s dual mode exhaust system has quad outlets with electric valves that enhance efficiency and make all the right sounds.
Technology and efficiency has also pervaded the new Camaro on the inside. Premium materials and excellent craftsmanship are evident in the car’s dash, console and trims. Chevy allows buyers to customize their Camaros with a seemingly endless selection of stripes, colors, interiors and accessories.
